Corey has been learning a bunch of songs on guitar and he's getting pretty good. It's inspired me to learn more. The first one I chose was Quicksand by David Bowie. It's because I am existentially confused, obviously. I haven't tried to learn a song in a while. I haven't even played in a while. I feel like I have to relearn. David Bowie songs are hard, vocal-wise, just because he has a ridiculous falsetto that I can't even try to match. I still try a little bit. I recorded some, but it's not good at all, so I'm not posting it.
To counter the metaphysical gloom, tomorrow I'm learning to play Good Day Sunshine.

Had some nice chats today. Even if our economic system has had problems recently, it's nice to remember that our country's founding fathers had some brilliant ideas and pure intentions. Happy 4th!

Man vs. Wild VS Survivorman. Bear would never lose on Fear Factor, but is probably more likely to be mauled by a Jaguar.

My cousin used to have a giant Saint Bernard. Once, we were playing ninja turtles and it tried to hump me. No joke. It was a traumatizing and, most likely, pivotal moment in the development of my character.
Been doin' stuff lately. Like goin' to the park. Parkin'. Wadin' in pools. Catchin' some sun. Eatin' a lot of muffins. Gettin' back in to the wonderful world of internet. Internettin'. Paintin' some rare and endangered animals. Rare-endangered-animalsin'. Chickenin'. Yodelin'.
That entire last paragraph was dedicated to Claire and Marian. Claire-and-Marianin'.
Speaking of, I want some cabin adventures, man!
Back to work.

We lost our internet recently and we won't have it consistently for a while, so updates should be sporadic. Not that they've ever been anything but, anyway. For now, Bauhaus is my internet haven. I have drawings and stuff, but nothing scanned. Instead here are a bunch of images related to something I'm working on:

I may have been drunk, at some point. I'm not drunk right now, though. No, not drunk. For the past few days, it's possible that every word that has come out of my mouth was a non sequitur. Calisthenics.

- Ostrich by Eleni. - Cat Butt by Steve.
Thanks for all the kittens. It was like a big face full of glee all week. I won't even complain if I get more. I'll just get a bigger face full of glee.
Also, did you know that stick gum comes in boxes now? Whaaaaat.

I got three really good peg-legged kittens in the last post. They excite me. I would like to see more.
I've been working on this and things like this recently:

This is a kitten with a peg leg, for a friend. I suggest:
1. everyone draw a kitten with a peg leg, and 2. show me. 3. peg-legged kitten army.

It's been a busy couple of weeks. Last week, Eleni let me tag along for a dinner at her parent's house. Her mom is a master chef. We had spaghetti. Then, Emerald City ComicCon was this past weekend. People came to our home. People like: J-Fish, Ben, Erik, Becky and Vasilis. It was a damn good time. The beginning of the week was really sunny. I spent it in the park with Stacy and Chad. That was equally damn good. The next day I went to the park for a few minutes and watched Corey and Larry capoeira fight:
Windows Movie Maker is fun and ridiculous.
I don't think all my synapses are firing this week, but it's okay. Good damn. Yerba Mate.
Now I'm eating a delicious soup made by Lindsay Lam.
A lot of stuff I sketched recently:

Let me tell you little about myself: I spill things. Oh hey, is that a cup of coffee? Spill. Oh, what a nice refreshing drink of water? Spill. All over shirt and pants.
Also, the last part of the Tikboom Global Warming Saga is up at Top Shelf

I finally started watching the second season of Deadwood. It pretty much started exactly the way I wanted it to. Luckily, this happened before the blue channel on my TV went out. Unfortunately, this means that I won't have the color blue when I watch the rest of the season. I mean, that's okay, though? There's no blue in Deadwood anyway.
Our friend Jay came to visit last week. That's always a good time. On Saturday, we had a sort of cereal party. I finally put that fireplace DVD my mom got me a long time ago to good use.
Also, David over at 4thletter said some nice things about Tikboom and muses about digital comics. That's exciting.

Another Tikboom part is up at Top Shelf. It's pretty ridiculous now. I'm okay with that. Cryptic Children's Fable.
On a more embarrassing note: Last night I stabbed myself in the butt cheek with a ruler that wedged itself in my futon cushion. Blood and everything. I was like, "Whaat," and the ruler was like, "Stab," and I was all like, "Whaaaaaat did I just do?"
I mean, just kidding about the ruler. I was actually wrestling a swordfish.
Also, thanks to my new friend Eleni: pink dolphin, hangin':
